The final portfolio must be approved by a majority of the MA Joint Committee members.
  • ENGL 710 : Revising for Academic Publication. A 3-credit individual-enrollment course focusing on major expansion and revision of a seminar paper into an article suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed journal. Overseen by a graduate faculty member of student’s choosing.

Students will need to submit a capstone proposal describing the personal and professional motivations behind their capstone choice to the program director by week 12 of the semester prior to the start of the relevant individual enrollment course.  For ENGL 701  and ENGL 710  students will also submit a formal 1-page proposal and working bibliography according to the guidelines published on the joint program website.
