Major Requirements


Credit Hours: 60+

In addition to completing the requirements for this major, students must also complete the degree requirements specified in the Academic Regulations  section of this catalog.

Business Administration Shared Core Requirements

  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 203   in lieu of ACCT 203 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 204  in lieu of ACCT 204 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 210  in lieu of BLAW 205 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 214  in lieu of DSCI 232 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 200  in lieu of ECON 200 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 211  in lieu of ECON 201 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 115  in lieu of MATH 120 .
  • Honors students can take the alternative course of HONS 217  in lieu of MATH 250 .

Hospitality and Tourism Management Concentration


Notes:


  • The School of Business strongly encourages students to complete the following courses by the end of their sophomore year: ACCT 203 , ACCT 204 ; DSCI 232 ; ECON 200 , ECON 201 ; MATH 104  or MATH 250  and MATH 116  or MATH 120 . These courses are pre-requisites for many upper level junior and senior business and economics courses.
  • The business and accounting programs offered by the School of Business are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
  • Students are not permitted to double major in Business Administration and Accounting, Commercial Real Estate Finance, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism Management, International Business, Management, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Students are not permitted to major in Business Administration and minor in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Global Logistics and Transportation, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Leadership for Sustainability, Marketing, or Real Estate.
  • Students minoring in Information Management may apply a maximum of six credit hours from DSCI 323 , INFM 220 , INFM 330 , INFM 390  towards the Business Administration major.
