Arts and Cultural Management Graduate Certificate

Institutional Admissions Requirements

• A completed application form with a nonrefundable application fee of $60.
• Official transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate coursework. An earned bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• International applicants should refer to the International Students area within the “Admissions Information” section of the catalog for information on providing appropriate documentation with the application.

Program Admissions Requirements

• Minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.000 is preferred
• Writing sample demonstrating an ability to perform literary analysis and conduct research and/or a portfolio of arts management related work samples
• Statement of professional goals
• Current resume
  
• One letter of recommendation. References should address academic ability and motivation to successfully complete a graduate certificate. If a prospective student has been out of college for a number of years, it is appropriate to provide a letter from work-related individuals

* A separate degree-seeking application is required for admittance to a master’s degree program at the College of Charleston; Admission to the certificate program does not imply acceptance to a master’s program.

** Students who are currently enrolled in another UCSC graduate program and will apply to the ARCM certificate should complete the 1) application and submit the application fee, and 2) “statement of professional goals.”  They will not need to resubmit transcripts, a resume or writing samples.  Applicants may re-use a letter of recommendation if ARCM is satisfied with the submitted letter.  If not, we will request an additional letter of the applicant.
