Program Requirements
- 33 credit hours
- Students opting to add a concentration in Public History must meet all the normal requirements for the master’s degree. In fulfilling these requirements, they must complete the course of study below and all courses chosen must meet the approval of the graduate program director.

Credit Hours: 33 Elective Requirements
Complete 24 hours from any of the following Capstone Requirement
This seminar sequence will equip students with advanced research skills to produce a publishable, article-length work of original historical research. Notes:
No more than 3 credit hours from HIST 770 may be applied towards the program requirements without department approval.
Concentration in Public History
Introduction to Public History (3 credits)
Electives (6 Credits)
Content in these courses must relate to public history and are subject to approval by the public history coordinator. Capstone Requirement
